The Taoist Tai Chi Society of the USA is part of the International Taoist Tai Chi Society, a global, volunteer organization with more than 500 locations in over 25 countries. Members can attend classes at all international locations. The Taoist Tai Chi Society of the USA shares the aims and objectives of the International Taoist Tai Chi Society. In 1974, the first USA branch was established in Buffalo, New York, a short trip from Toronto, where Master Moy Lin-Shin had established the Society’s headquarters. In the early 1980s, Society members who had studied with Master Moy in Toronto moved to Denver and Tallahassee and established branches there. Today, Taoist Tai Chi Society® internal arts of health are taught in 28 states and the District of Columba, and development of sites in additional states is ongoing. Use the Site Locator at the bottom of the page to find classes near you. The US National CenterJust before his passing in 1998, Master Moy facilitated the purchase of the Florida National Center in Tallahassee thus ensuring that there would be a permanent home for the society in Florida for the benefit of future generations. The center in Tallahassee hosts national workshops throughout the year and serves as a focal point for the administration of the Taoist Tai Chi Society in the United States.
